Why some PDFs are so large

A “simple” PDF can still be 20 MB if it contains high-resolution photos or scanned pages.
Common causes
- Scans at 300 dpi or higher
- Images inserted without compression
- Several files merged into one
- Fully embedded fonts
What you can do
Before sharing, compress. In many cases the file drops by half (or more) and stays readable.
If you work with documents every day, make it a habit: compress before you send.
